International Taxation

A foreign owner of a U.S. company, a U.S. resident with a company or an account abroad, a family in its first year in the country: each case brings forms with severe penalties when they are missed or filed wrong. We have built deep experience in this work, and it is the work we want more of.

Cross-border taxes are extremely complex. They are our specialty.

Foreign owners of U.S. companies

A U.S. LLC or corporation owned from abroad must file every year, even with no income. We keep it compliant, act as its registered agent and explain what the United States expects from you.

U.S. residents with assets abroad

A company, a bank account or an investment in another country brings information returns with penalties that start at $10,000 each. We prepare them with your return, and we repair missed years.

Questions we hear

I own a U.S. LLC but I live outside the United States. Can you help?

Yes. A foreign-owned single-member LLC usually must file Form 5472 every year, even with no income. The penalty for a missed form starts at $25,000. We prepare it, keep your company in good standing and act as your registered agent.

Do I need to report my bank accounts in another country?

If the total of your foreign accounts was more than $10,000 at any time in the year, you must file an FBAR (FinCEN Form 114). Some people must also file Form 8938 with their return. We check both for you.
